Get There

The mind was bursting with information, tales, ideas and conflicting theories and research. It was almost too much to handle. Everything was disjointed, a muddle of things waiting to be pieced together with care. And yet still she didn't know how. The research was just beginning. A total mess. So much to do for someone so impatient to have it finished and complete. Yet it had to be done. It had to be done in order to improve the storyline, the believability not just for the readers but for herself. She'd get there eventually. She'd make sure of it.

Ryan's Thoughts

Hmm, if Innocence was 1st person...

The story I want to tell you has no definable start and not everything is solved at the end. The happiness is short lived, minimal. Don't get me wrong, I'm a happy bloke. You need to have that contrast in our careers. I loved my career. It made you feel as if you were doing something for humanity. You got to meet people. You got to make a difference. At least, that's what you keep telling yourself. I should begin with one of the two most important people I met on the job. It was also one of my most terrifying days as a father.

I got that call nobody ever wants.

The one that says your child is missing.

Change Beginning

It was weird, strange. A different feeling all together, yet still the same. Kind of odd, really. She didn't know what to think. It was just a bit of a change to get used to, that was all. And she would get used to it and she didn't mind. It was good, better, in a way. There were still no regrets. No grudges, and that was good to know. A good feeling. In another way it felt like she was back to the beginning, but she knew she wasn't. So much had happened, had progressed. And things hadn't really changed in general. Changes were to be expected, she just had to get used to them, even if at times she hated change.
