One person stood up. Then two, then three, then I was standing up with them and the crowd was going wild. The clapping was almost louder than the music, and the cheers were drowned out by everything else. The magic and intensity of it was brilliant, and everyone was singing whether they could sing it well or not. Then came the confetti and and it was like colourful rain on what was such a miserable-cloudy-rain-put-off day, and to be up on that stage would be a blessing, and it didn't quite feel real but it was and it was lovely but it was also coming to an end as all the good things do, and then the curtain was drawn and the applause struck it's climax, as people made their way for the doors.
