Never Forgotten

Her mouth wore a happy smile, with bright brown eyes that lit up her face. But it was all fake. On the inside, she was crying. Crying as she hugged the girl for what she knew would be the last time in a long time. It had to come one day, right? Toys get old and forgotten, even ones as loved as she was. She was thankful, she supposed, that she would remain with someone of her best friends, but the shelf was so high up, and it was a tight squeeze. Mummy, she weeped. She wasn't the only one crying on the inside, but she knew she would never let such toys be forgotten. No, they would be remembered, forever. And if in text, then so be it. They were the ones that made her life fun, and it'd remain that way.

It Was Time

The time had come. There was no putting it off. It was now or never. Preferrably now, so he could get it over and done with quicker. Forget. But he knew it would be impossible to forget. He knew he'd never get over it. He knew it would be slow, making him wonder if he should never have bothered. Maybe he should just put it off a little longer... but the time had come. And time wouldn't wait for him. He would have to chase it by the tail if he got behind. No, he had to do it now. He had no other option. It was time.
