Soundless Sleep
He felt the chain ripped from his neck as he fought to stay concious. His body ached so much. There was no point trying anymore. What was left? It was all over. Why should he fight against sleep? Nothing could please him better right now. He closed his eyes, calm and collected, as he stopped thrashing and and sank into the depths of his empty mind. He had to have been nearly asleep, or maybe he was asleep already, he wasn't sure, but he could feel his arm being pulled right off. His whole body was about to break into two, he could feel it. And then the wind hit his face like a hurricane, but he kept his eyes tight closed and tried not to squint. Sleep, he reminded himself, sleep is good. It came to him that he couldn't hear anything. There was nothing to hear except silence. He didn't complain. Silence was also good. He felt the invisible pulls at his chin and he opened his mouth willingly, letting the liquid drain out of his mouth as he really did fall unconcious. The darkness swept over him like an angry cloud and all he knew was that he shouldn't fight. Not anymore. There was no reason to.
