When he next opened his eyes, he was staring at the inside lid of a boot. He groaned, shifting slightly only to find his wrists tied. What had happened? What had he done? Why was he here? He changed his train of thought, listening to the sound of the tyres against gravel. He'd just decided it wasn't a smooth road when he was lurched to one side after they drove over a slight bump. The panic began to settle in as he started slamming his fists against the boot, making noise and kicking out with his legs. No one would hear him. No one except his captors.
What was going to happen to him?
