She sat on the bed upstairs, listening to the shower run, and the crickets sing. She took in the surroundings of where she'd be sleeping for the next few nights - looking at a desk, a few board games stacked on top: Scrabble. There was something about staying at other people's places. Even a mansion like this: you can't wait to get back to your own bed. And even if the cats are more friendly than your own, even if the place is gorgeous, even if you can not have to worry about locking up at night, there's no place like home. She tried to ignore the fly buzzing around the room. Still, on the other hand, she couldn't wait to check the place out in daylight... and jump into the pool.
