He took the keys into the next room and placed them on the rack with the other hundreds in various stages of tarnish. He then returned for an old rag, and began wiping the grime off his fingers, looking around as he did so. Three cars in this shed, all old bombs. Scraps of metal lay around on the floor, easily stepped on or tripped over, with the exception of a few placed leaning against the wall. The whole place was a junk yard, really. He might have a go at cleaning up later, although it never lasted. The other guys weren’t interested in keeping it tidy.
