Words of Wonder

The sound of a fresh new sentence, when you’ve got it sounding just right, so crisp, you can hear every syllable, that is what you wish for every sentence in your manuscript. Something that’ll define what you’re trying to say, even if it’s in four words. Sometimes, they will make no sound for others, but even the silence can be tantalising. When it’s perfect, you will know. There’ll be a ping drop at the end where the astonishment will sit and fester a while, leaving you in a wonderlandish state of bliss, and I have to remind myself all the time that this unexplainable feeling is why I wish to, and am, pursuing writing.
