Sleep On It

I collapsed onto the bed and didn't move for another ten minutes, as I absorbed the softness, the calmity. The feeling of home. It felt good. But I couldn't lay there forever. I slowly dragged myself up, switching on the fan and turning back. It was incredibly comfy . . . I approached the bed cautiously again. Just five more minutes, then I'd go and study . . . I threw back the quilt and snuggled inside, lifting the sheets up to my head and yawning. I wouldn't go to sleep. I had too much work to do. But I did.
