Try and Hide

He lay crumpled on the floor, arms folded tight against his chest and his eyes squeezed tight shut. He held in his cries of pain and bit down hard on his tongue, trying not to think of the blood that was weeping from his arm. He had never been really good with blood, becoming light and faint headed, but it was a relief from what he was used to here. In any case, it was from him, not them, and that was of some consultation. Now he just had to hide it from them and maybe he would be right. Of course, he could never hide, but he could try.
