She lay exhausted, head propped up against the pillow, awaiting for the darkness to sweep over her and take her someplace else. It would all be over soon. A week from now. Less. Half a week… all the time in the world, it seemed. Of course, time never lasted. It sped fast away, remaining just out of reach, impossible to catch. That didn’t matter. Sooner rather than later, she would see. It would all come to a pleasant stop – where the fun began, but that was just a little further yet.
