First Chance
I didn't trust them. I didn't trust no one. No one was trustworthy anymore. It was something that took a long time to develop. A very long time. Time I didn't have. I wasn't going to waste time going around and pointing out who could and couldn't be trusted. It was easier to trust none. The truth hurt. So did the lies. What was the difference? Everything seemed the same now. Good was bad. Bad was good. There was no line separating the two anymore. It was all one big mess that I was suffocating in. The air around me was trapped and nothing mattered anymore. Kind, harsh, scared, angry, dead or alive. I wanted out and I was going to take the first chance I got.
