"Come in, come in."
Nick entered the counselor's office. The walls were a bear white, with a couple of colourful photographs framed at the back. There was a dimly lit window that looked out on the back of another building. It was a dull place. The desk was clean and neat, with papers stacked and organised into piles and at that desk sat the newly appointed counselor who would soon learn that the job was not all as it seemed. He had no personal possesions around - in prison, this was probably a good thing - he'd learn that quick. He was younger than the last one, maybe mid thirties, and he wore a tired look on his face. His first day had not gone well. He seemed to do a double take when he noticed the patient before him. They'd come in silently, hadn't said a word. He waited for Nick to tae a seat. Instead, he shoved his hands in his pockets and said, "I don't need a counselor."
