Peace To Panic

31 March 2010

The trees rustled in the wind. The odd car drove past and she could hear two men having a conversation across the road. She could see the moon, half hidden behind the clouds and an old gum tree that stood tall above her. The water was almost invisible, camoflaged against the night sky. It was peaceful. A peaceful atmosphere which she would have to turn into something terrible when it came time to writing about the fate of the poor souls she'd created. The conversation would turn into an argument. The moon would become the storm. The water would become the weapon and the peace would transform to panic. Horror.
