She Says

She closed her eyes, happy with her progress, although still unhappy with her workload. She wondered if they'd remember. She wondered if it would go by unnoticed. She thought about how much had changed. Now there were finally time to think. But she was tired. She couldn't keep her eyes open. After just writing five hundred words for another submission, the words were getting the better of her. But her bed was unmade. What was there to sleep on? She'd fall asleep at the desk, if she could.
