Positioned Toys

29 March 2010

Another day has come to an end. It is dark, the room illuminated by a single lamp, the soft purring of the fan circulating air around the room. There is a bed, the comforts waiting teasingly for her to lay down, and curtains blowing gently on her side. Dust gathers on the ornaments in every corner and somewhere a clock is heard ticking. And eyes, hundreds of pairs of eyes, stare out at her from toys, varying from one to eighteen years of age, just waiting for her to sleep so they can ultimately take over her room, silently moving back to position when she wakes.
